Update July 13, 2018: Ken Reeves submitted 3 songs sung by "The Missing Links" (Brad Mansfield, John Zieler, Dan Householder, Ken Reeves), courtesy of Doug Pope '67 who posted them on his Facebook page. Click the links and take yourself back to 1965 and 1966!

From Douglas Pope's Facebook Page:  The Missing Links perfoming "The Break Song".

Text from Doug's post:  "Chances are that the first time you heard The Missing Links this was the first song you heard. 'The Break Song' was the first song played the first time The Missing Links performed on April 3, 1965.
This song was used to start and end a set and was played throughout the four year history of the 'Links'. I don't know this for sure, but there's a good chance that it was the last song played at the last Missing Links performance in 1968.
The song was a 12 bar blues vamp with Brad borrowing heavily from Ray Charles 'What'd I Say'. The intro lick was stolen from the Carl Perkin's song 'Honey Don't'.
As Kenny would often say..."'f you're hearing this, it means we're either coming or going'."

From Douglas Pope's Facebook page: The Missing Links performing "We Gotta Get Out of this Place".

Text from Doug's post:  "...In October, 1966, The Missing Links opened for Gary Lewis and the Playboys at the Toledo Sports Arena. Although the bank had been good from the beginning, they had continued to improve in the year and a half since its formation.
The Missing Links had been performing at least three weekends a month, with more dates in the summer, since they began in 1965 and the hours of practice, rehearsal and performance had paid off.
Brad's biggest memory of this show was seeing the stage littered with teddy bears and roses that had been thrown onstage by a group of the band's fans from Maumee. John remembers that the musicians for Gary Lewis were so impressed with The Links equipment that they asked if they could use it in their portion of the show. When they gave it back, everyone was upset that the Playboys did not demonstrate the same level of care that The Links all gave their equipment, and Brad remembers that they didn't bother to say "thanks".
"We Gotta Get Out of this Place", more times than not, was the last song for the night, before the "Break Song" finished the set.

From Douglas Pope's Facebook page: The Missing Links performing "Yesterday".

Text from Doug's post: "The Beatles released 'Yesterday' on September 13, 1965, just as we were starting the school year. Within a very short time Kenny had worked out the chords to the song and The Links quickly added it to the setlist. The first time I remember it being played in public was at a battle of the bands held at St. Michael's school gym in Findlay, Ohio on October 2, 1965. Brad covered Paul McCartney's guitar part and the strings on his Wurlitzer Model 112 Electric Piano while Kenny sang the vocal. As soon as Ken crooned the first line of the song it seemed like every female in the audience let out an audible gasp. I guess I don't have to tell you who won that battle of the bands. The song remained in the setlist until 1968.
This photograph is one of the earliest photos of the band. It was taken about the time 'Yesterday' was released. The band was wearing their stage attire for that time. This picture shows Brad playing his Wurlitzer Electric Piano. John had upgraded his bass from his original Montomery Ward Airline Bass to the cherry red Gibson SG. Ken was holding his Fender knock off. Danny was still playing his original red Rogers Drum Set and had not purchased his steel gray Ludwig kit from Bigelow Music as of yet.
