Brent "BJ" Johnson passed away on 6 July 2023 after a courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer. He was born on April 17, 1950, to Wayne and Olga Johnson in Lake Preston, SD. He lived in Hetland, SD for six years before his family moved to Ohio, where he joined the Air Forace at age 19. BJ spent 22 years in the Air Force where he earened his associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force and visited most of Europe with the base bowling team. He retired from the Air Force in 1991 and immediately joined the University of Arizona Police Department as an IT Specialist for 10 years followed by another 10 years mamaging the Property and Evidence Section before he retired from the University of Arizona in 2011.
BJ met his wife, Gail, at the base bowling alley in 1989 and they married in 1995. He loved to bowl, play golf and do just anbout any sport. He was an active member of the Masons, the Shriners, the Elks, the American Legion and the AMVETS. BJ loved to travel with his wife, Gail, in their RV where they visitied all the lower 48 states. They also visited Alaska and Hawaii, just not in the RV. BJ was a people person and never met a stranger. He loved camping with the Shriners and the Elks. He and Gail could have written a book on RV adventures. BJ is survived by his wife, Gail, daughter Diana of Tucson, son Brandon of Albuquerque, step-son Ed of Tucson, step-daughter Dena of Boise, ID and sister Gloris of Denver, CO. He was proud of his eight grandchildren: Jacob, Ryan, Hunter, Ava, Ethan, Camryn, Evie and Lauryn.
A cemetary service will be held on 10 August at AZ Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Marana at 10 am. A celbration of life will be held on 12 August at American Legion Post 36, 5845 E 22nd Street,k Tucson at 11 am.

I was very glad to see Brent and meet his wife Gail at the 50th reunion and to catch up with their life as RVers. He will be missed.
