Donald M. Baron, born in 1950, was a native of Bowling Green, Ohio. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa, and then earned an M.A. in economics from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Washington University, St. Louis. In high school and college he was an accomplished violinist, playing in orchestras and ensembles. He subsequently worked as an economist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and then as a senior consultant with Foster Associates in Bethesda, Maryland, specializing in econometrics, operations research, and regulatory economics. He published numerous papers on applied econometrics. He loved horseback riding, golf, maps, watching boxing, and reading - especially books on U.S. history. He was the loving father of three daughters, Lori, Alyson, and Samantha, and loving grandfather to Devyn. In addition to his daughters, Don is survived by his brothers Steve, Jeff, and David Baron, and his sister Joan Baron.

Don and his brother, Jeff, are part of many memories from Kenwood School! As twins, I don't believe they ever had the same teacher. I'll always remember the time when the school attended an assembly in the gym, and when it was over and we were to accompany our teachers back to class, Don and Jeff switched places. We kids knew the difference between the twins, but our teachers had a harder time! To this day, I don't think our teachers ever realized the little prank they pulled!
